Board game pieces for Solent Creatives

I was approached by my Course Leader during my second year and asked if I'd be able to undertake a project to support a Graphic Design student. The student had a board game concept which was to be presented to Southampton City Council as part of a local education initiative, however they were unable to create the physical play pieces for it.

After registration with Solent Creatives, I was provided with a description, a graphic of the character and sketch. Using these I ran through a short, iterative series of development prototypes before presenting 2 to the tutor I was liasing with for the client.
After approval, I then manufactured a series of 6 player markers (acrylic), and 120 counters (wooden discs) for the client. These were CNC lasercut and hand-finished to ensure that every piece was of suitable quality and functioned as intended.
